I Built a Glowing Olive Wood Chessboard

This time, I created something completely different — a handmade chessboard combining **olive wood, resin, and LED lighting**. The natural grain of the olive wood forms the individual squares and the surrounding frame, while illuminated sections are integrated between the wooden elements. The real transformation happens when the lights go out — the entire board comes alive with light and takes on a completely different character. The LED lighting is *powered via USB* and can be controlled with a remote, allowing you to change the colors and lighting effects. My goal was to combine the timeless character of chess with modern lighting and the natural beauty of olive wood, creating something that works both as a functional chessboard and as a unique piece of functional art. What do you think of this combination of olive wood and LED lighting? Would you play a game on it? ♟️ 👉 Discover more at: gostkowskifxpart.com/collections/functional-art 🔴▶️follow me on Instagram, Facebook and tiktok   / fxpart     / fxpart     / fxpart1   #Woodworking #Chessboard #OliveWood #LED #ResinArt #FxPart
