RIP - Robin Hood Airport

Well ... I finally managed to find a suitable 'flying weather window' to visit the 'now closed' Doncaster Sheffield Airport ... commonly know as 'Robin Hood Airport'. Try as I might, I couldn't find anyone left there to give me permission to actually land there for a cuppa and a chat ... and I tried three different avenues (previous airport managers & personnel, the Vulcan Trust etc). I did see two airfield security chaps, but that was it. Peel Group (who own the land) are VERY difficult to contact directly. Anyway ... in the end, I contented myself with a low flypast ...
