Baldur’s Gate II is one of those games that stayed with me much longer than I realized.
At first, this video was supposed to be about a game I loved. But while making it, I noticed it was really about something else: how games can give you worlds, and how those worlds can quietly follow you into your own life.
For me, Baldur’s Gate was not only a CRPG. It was one of the reasons I wanted to create worlds myself. It led into ideas, projects, failed attempts, Dungeons & Dragons, and still somehow the wish to build something that feels alive.
This is not a review. It is more of a personal reflection on Baldur’s Gate II, D&D, creating worlds, and what remains when an old game still has a strange hold on you years later.

About Baldur’s Gate II:
Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn was released in 2000 by BioWare and is still seen as one of the most important classic RPGs ever made. It continued the story from the first Baldur’s Gate and brought players to places like Athkatla, with a huge party-based adventure, memorable companions, and a very strong Dungeons & Dragons identity.
For many people, it is not just nostalgia. It is one of those games that showed how deep a role-playing game could feel.
