Volta única de 19.2km, me mantive na fuga, com + 6 ciclistas! Fomos revezando, até chegar no pé da subida. Obviamente, fiquei para trás, mas 2x ciclistas abriram somente 13s. Vi que dava para buscar e fechei a diferença faltando 2.5km. Na hora que encostei, fiz força para abrir alguns segundos, me movi para não dar vácuo e machucar um pouco os adversários, casos eles decidissem me seguir. Levou algum tempo e eles fecharam o gap, faltando menos de 2km. Fiquei de roda, me poupando e me preparando pro sprint final! Nos últimos 500m, fiquei esperando vir o ataque, confiante que eu poderia fazer mais força e chegar a frente! O ataque veio, muito cedo, faltando 270m ainda! Pulei na roda e sprintei, faltando 155m. Single lap of 19.2km, managed to stay in the breakaway with 6 other riders! We were taking turns at the front until we hit the bottom of the climb. Obviously I got dropped, but 2 riders opened up just 13 seconds on me. I could see it was closeable, so I put the hammer down and bridged the gap with 2.5km to go. Once I latched back on, I pushed hard to open a few seconds, moved around to take away their draft and make them hurt a bit if they decided to follow. It took a while but they closed it back down with under 2km to go. I sat on, saving my legs and setting up for the sprint! In the last 500m I was waiting for the attack, confident I could go harder and come over the top! The attack came way too early — still 270m out! I jumped on the wheel and launched my sprint with 155m to go.
