Legendary Nigerian actor and film executive, Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, popularly known as Olu Jacobs, has passed away at the age of 84 in he early hours of 16th September 2026. In 1989, he got married to Joke Silva, a fellow actor he met in the UK. Together they nurtured a loving family, raising two boys. As a power couple, they co-founded the Lufodo Group, an initiative committed to training the next generation of Nigerian actors, thus leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire future talents. In 2021, his loving and caring wife, Joke Silva, revealed that Olu had been diagnosed with dementia with Lewy bodies, a challenging condition that impacted his health in his later years.
