THE FOUR TEMPERAMENTS "Choleric" (1965)

And from that same superlative Canadian 1965 broadcast of the NYC Ballet how it looked then (whole ballet on YouTube), here's my fav "Choleric" Patricia Neary really looking fantastic. Balanchine changed some of the Finale for the 1978 Great Performances PBS TV broadcast, and decided to keep it that way for the stage. When I first danced "Melancholic" I did this version, but later saw the wisdom of his altered version. Much more impactful. I think ALL the dancers looked very healthy here. Don't you? #nycballet #ballet #balanchine.
