Home Alone Kids Then & Now | What Happened to the 3 Boys?

Three young actors became the faces of the first four Home Alone movies, but their lives took very different paths after childhood fame. Macaulay Culkin became Kevin McCallister in Home Alone in 1990 and returned in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York in 1992. His performances turned Kevin into one of the most recognizable child characters of the 1990s and made Culkin an international child star. In 1997, Home Alone 3 introduced a completely new young hero. Alex D. Linz played Alex Pruitt, replacing Kevin McCallister as the central child character and leading a new story with a different family and a new group of criminals. Five years later, the franchise returned to Kevin McCallister. Mike Weinberg played a new version of Kevin in Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House, which aired in 2002 with an almost completely new cast. As the years passed, the three actors followed very different paths. Macaulay Culkin continued acting and remained a recognizable figure in popular culture, eventually receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023. Alex D. Linz continued acting for several years after Home Alone 3, with screen credits extending into 2007. Mike Weinberg also appeared in several television and film roles after Home Alone 4, with his later acting credits extending into 2006. This timeline follows Macaulay Culkin, Alex D. Linz and Mike Weinberg from childhood through their Home Alone years and into adulthood, showing how they changed, where their careers went and what happened to the three boys who led the first four movies.
