EC.1 Phish - Possum (with Derek Trucks) - 7/7/99 - PNC Music Pavilion, Charlotte, NC

Notes: Interesting Possum, that includes Derek Trucks on slide guitar, this is worth checking out if you enjoy The Allman Brothers Band. phish.net Phan Reviews: “ENCORE: Derek Trucks smoke-show slide guitar for Possum and Funky Bitch provides the final lift of the evening.” - TimberCarini “derek trucks joining in on the encores was gravy, ending the night with a bang….” art_vandelay “Oh, and there’s that encore with one of the most genuine and humble musicians in the game. Serious taste. - crepu “On the other hand, this was the first time I heard Derek Trucks. He made Trey look like a little school boy, shredding through the encore like there was no tomorrow. (Was Trey holding back for the kid?) That goes to show that even at the worst shows I have seen, there were still nuggets of magic.” - CreatureoftheNight “This was definitely a strange Set II. Those who love bluesy Phish should check out the encore. It rocks!” - Cheard “Now thats not to say there aren't some musical high lights. Check out Axilla-Rift and a cool encore with Derick Trucks. Side note: Has there been a show in N.C. where it didn't rain?” Frankster Source: Schoeps cmc6/mk4v = Lunatec V2 =Tascam DA-P1 (@ 48 kHz) Transfer: Tascam DA-20MKII = Tascam HD-P2 = CF card = usb = pc = WaveLab 5.01b (fades, resample to 44.1kHz) = CD Wave v1.95 = FLAC v1.1.3 (Level 8) Transferred by Jason Sobel (jasonsobel@gmail.com) Seeded January 14, 2007 Taper Notes: The original 48 kHz .wav files from the DAT transfer have been archived, and are available upon request.
