The Forgotten History of Computer |From human calculators to AI

How did humans go from doing calculations by hand to creating artificial intelligence? The history of computers is much older and more fascinating than most people realize. Long before modern computers, humans performed complex calculations using mathematics, tables, and mechanical calculating devices. Over time, these ideas evolved into massive electronic machines, personal computers, the internet, and eventually the artificial intelligence systems we use today. In this documentary, we explore the forgotten history of computing and follow its remarkable journey: • Human calculators and early mathematical methods • The abacus and early calculating tools • Mechanical calculating machines • The development of early electronic computers • The rise of room-sized computers • The personal computer revolution • The evolution of modern computing • The transition from computers to artificial intelligence • How centuries of innovation led to today's AI era This is the story of how humans taught machines to calculate—and eventually began teaching them to think.
