Draw a house floor plan in flatcad (free 2D CAD in your browser), export one SVG per layer, then turn it into a 3D house in Blender: import, fill, extrude, and cut the doors and windows with Boolean modifiers.

0:00 Draw the plan in flatcad: layers, outline, rooms
0:19 Doors, windows, furniture, labels, dimensions
0:42 Export one SVG per layer
0:52 Import the walls SVG into Blender
1:02 Join, fill, convert to mesh, extrude 2.7 m
1:17 Door and window cutters
1:35 Boolean modifiers cut the openings
1:51 Add a floor
2:02 Final render: materials and furniture
Blender steps in short:
1. File → Import → Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg): walls.svg
2. A, Ctrl J to join, F2 to rename
3. Object Data tab: Shape 2D, Fill Mode Both
4. Object → Convert → Mesh
5. Tab, A, E, type 2.7, Enter (wall height in metres)
6. Repeat for doors.svg (E 2.1) and windows.svg (E 1.2, G Z 0.9 for sill height)
7. Walls: Add Modifier → Generate → Boolean (Difference) with Doors, again with Windows
8. Hide the cutters, and you have openings
Why it lines up: flatcad draws in mm and every exported SVG shares the same page, so the three files stack exactly in Blender.
