Kanon (2006) - The Day I Waited for the Wind. A brand-new Key anime cover and, on top of that, a new playlist for all the Key anime covers I've done so far. First we did summer; now we have winter. I always loved these different season settings with Air (TV), Kanon (2006), and Clannad. Key Anime Piano Covers:    • Key Anime Covers   I believe that this OST first played in Makoto's arc, and it stood out to me so much. Maybe because Makoto's arc was my favorite, but i knew I wanted to do an arrangement of this OST. Watching a funny, aggressive character slowly declining in health, realizing she sacrificed her life and memories just to meet Yuichi 😢. And the marriage scene, JUST TO DISAPPEAR RIGHT AFTER IT!!! 😭 There were some hurdles with this cover. Playing those octaves and returning to the 3-handed technique pattern in the right hand, and making sure the melody was still heard 1:57-2:26. It was this section of the song that gave me a slight pain in my knuckle, which is why I had to delay the recording of this video. I was worried about putting too much time into practicing this cover after my knuckle healed. I was also a bit worried about the ending because I wasn't sure if it was good. The song is capable of playing in an endless loop, so properly ending it without disrupting the flow was difficult. Honestly, I kind of forgot about this arrangement I made. It was just sitting in my room because I wasn't confident or satisfied with it. I didn't know how to end it, and I wasn't sure if I would be able to capture every detail. Back when I uploaded the Air (TV) “Natsukage” cover, I had ideas for other Key anime arrangements, but I wasn't really focused on any of them. After seeing how my Air (TV) video turned out, it gave me the motivation to finish my Kanon (2006) cover.
