Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) - Edison Lighthouse (Bell Vinyl 1970) USA

I came across this song while researching the song "Smile A Little Smile For Me" by the Flying Machine, which also mentions a Rosemary in its lyrics. Apparently, both were co-written & produced by Tony Macaulay, who wrote this song after the success of the former single. Instead of offering it to a band & producing it, he decided to hire session musicians & assemble them to record this song specifically. The lead singer was session musician Tony Burrows, who would later sing background vocals for artists such as Elton John & Cliff Richard. Macaulay's career in writing & producing pop music led to his work appearing across the music charts from the late 60s to the mid 70s, including "Don't Give Up On Us" by David Soul, "Build Me Up Buttercup" by The Foundation, & many others. Shout out to Darice Angel! Played on an Audio-Technica AT-LP60. Recorded with Audacity. Edited in Microsoft Clipchamp.
