Lost Ballparks - Cardinal Stadium, Louisville, KY (2004)

Old Cardinal Stadium, on the grounds of the Kentucky Exposition Center, was winding down its use as an active sports venue when I took in a University of Louisville baseball game on a beautiful April afternoon in 2004. With the shuttered gift shops in the closed concourse and the sparse crowd in the stands, it felt a little like being on a ghost ship, but I loved it.
