His Holiness Pujya Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamiji’s Visit to Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple #30 September 2026 His Holiness Pujya Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamiji visited the sacred Thiruparankundram Subramanya Swami Temple on 30 September 2026. Pujya Swamiji was accorded a traditional and auspicious welcome by the temple priests and officials, amidst the melodious strains of the Nadaswaram and the ceremonial Poornakumbham. As Pujya Swamiji was escorted towards the sanctum, the temple priests explained the spiritual significance of the various deities and the intricate sculptures enshrined within the sacred precincts of the temple. Upon entering the sanctum, His Holiness first had darshan of Karpaga Vinayakar, followed by Sri Satyagirishwarar, Durga Ambal and Perumal (Sri Vishnu Murthy). At each of these sacred sannidhis, Visesha Poojas and Deeparadhana were observed. The worship of Durga Ambal was accompanied by the chanting of the Durga Suktam. Pujya Swamiji presented Vastrams at all four sanctums as an offering. Thereafter, His Holiness had darshan of Sri Valli-Devasena Sametha Subramanya Swami. Special worship, including Archana and Alankaram, was performed, and Pujya Swamiji presented a Vastram to the Lord for adorning the deity. Deeparadhana was subsequently observed. The intricately carved Shilas within the Garbha Griha, reflecting the extraordinary skill, precision and artistic mastery of the ancient Sthapatis, stand as a magnificent expression of the temple’s timeless sculptural tradition. The exquisite detailing and craftsmanship embodied in these sacred forms offer a glimpse into the enduring artistic and architectural heritage of this ancient temple. The temple authorities thereafter accorded His Holiness the traditional Temple Honours. Pujya Swamiji subsequently had darshan of the Utsava Murthy of Sri Subramanya Swami, beautifully adorned and seated upon the Mayil Vahana (Peacock Vahana), where Visesha Poojas and Deeparadhana were observed. Following the temple visit, His Holiness was escorted to the Agama Patasala situated within the temple premises. Pujya Swamiji blessed the students, priests and devotees assembled there and delivered an Anugraha Bhashanam. His Holiness prayed for the well-being, prosperity, progress and spiritual growth of all, and blessed the gathering with His Anugraham.
