These Landscapes Steven Sérpa - composer Density512 - ensemble Release Date: November 20, 2026 Catalog #: NV6917 THESE LANDSCAPES from composer Steven Sérpa, performed by Density512 under conductor Jacob Aaron Schnitzer, traces the physical and emotional landscapes that shaped him. The album opens with An Invocation, a tone poem inspired by poet Jeffery Beam’s evocation of Appalachia, and closes with Terra sagrada, Terra solitária, a suite drawn from the Portuguese cante alentejano tradition. Between them, saudade — or deep, melancholic longing — permeates works like Mountain Fado and Island Fado, with Ophelia Paraphrase blending French mélodie with emo and pop-punk influences and made of words … torn by dreams meditating on hope for a better future. https://www.navonarecords.com/catalog...
