I recently got my first opportunity to drive the 2026 Hyundai Venue SEL at the Drive Revolution press event in Vancouver, Washington. Drive Revolution was a two-day media event where I sampled 20 different new vehicles, so this video is a First Look and First Drive, rather than a full week-long review. The Venue takes a refreshingly simple approach to the small-SUV formula with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder producing 121 horsepower, front-wheel drive, an automatic transmission and an EPA-rated 31 mpg combined. https://quotes.everymandriver.com/ - Get matched for FREE in seconds with the right vehicle, at the right price and at the right dealer. The SEL starts at $22,600 before destination, making the Venue one of the more affordable new SUVs available. In this video, I take you through the cabin, second-row seating, cargo area, exterior and powertrain before getting behind the wheel here in the Pacific Northwest. Can a small, inexpensive SUV with modest horsepower still make a compelling case when so many new vehicles are getting larger, faster and more expensive? Watch the full video for my first-drive impressions.
