Hello and welcome! In this video I will be taking a fresh piece of beech and making a bowl with an unplanned redesign.
The wood was taken from a much larger piece and still very green so warped during the turn. As it got thinner, it warped faster. I decided to take one last sheer scraping cut, the bowl was not at all happy about that and removed a chunk from both sides. My own fault, sometimes we fly too close to the sun although it was a nice excuse to bring the Dremel out to play for a while!
Finished in Danish oil.
