An epic journey through northern fjords, winter forests and forgotten burial mounds. Ten cinematic tracks inspired by Norse and Slavic traditions — throat singing, tagelharpa, gusli, jaw harp, war drums and distant choirs. Instrumental music for reading, studying, writing, gaming or simply disappearing into another world for a while.

⏱️ TIMECODES
0:00 Iron and Fog
The fjord, the third night before departure. There is no wind, so the longship leaves on oars — and the helmsman steers by memory alone. One hour later the fog closes the fjord, and the ship is gone without a trace.
1:45 Smoke Above the Bones
Deep forest, early morning. Here they do not read runes — runes can be faked, smoke cannot. The seer sits motionless for the fourth hour, because while she does not move, the smoke will not lie.
3:15 The Wolves Know First
The thaw, bare birch forest, the fourth day of the march. No fires are lit, because two wolves have been walking along the treeline for three days and do not leave. No one looks back and no one quickens the pace.
4:55 Bread for Those Who Left
First day of the harvest, a birch grove above the river. The first bread of the new crop is not eaten at home — it is broken in the field, shared with those who did not live to see this harvest. The eldest daughter holds it, because the ritual bread must be held by a clean hand.
6:30 The Weight of Water
Open sea, sixth day, storm. The ship runs across the wave instead of along it, because this is the only hope of clearing the shoal. The man at the steering oar knows that if he lets go for the beat of a single heart, the bow goes under.
8:00 Dust on the Horizon
A rider crosses the steppe at noon, past the burial mounds. He does not ride quietly and does not try — the dust from the hooves is meant to be seen two versts away. Four hours ahead lies the outpost.
9:20 The Winter That Stayed
End of winter, the field beyond the village, dusk. The Morana effigy was carried out on the first day of spring, but the wind put out the fire and the straw was left standing. The raven at the post froze the first night. No one touches it — it is part of the rite now.
10:40 Iron for the Sea — A Blade for the Deep
The forge at the river mouth, the night before sailing. This blade is not forged for battle. No one may touch it but the smith: whoever lifts it first will go to the bottom with it.
12:00 Varangian Roads
A southern trading quarter, noon, blistering heat. The northerner stands in a fur cloak at forty degrees in the sun, and it is not madness but arithmetic. Silver hangs openly at his belt. In two days he leaves north with the caravan. He will not go home.
13:20 The Third Day
A burial mound on the headland, first light, the third day after the funeral. The ship is buried and the stones are set, but the wreath is only laid on the third day. She holds it and does not lay it — she is looking at the sea, not at the grave.
