Vintage Poulan 3800 Chainsaw - Needs A New Starter & Rope - Carb Kit? - 61cc -Timbermaster

I just picked up this saw. When I got it home and started going through it I found that it needed a new starter and rope. Further inspection revealed that it had no air filter. Today I'm going to walk you through the replacement of the starter and starter rope and give you a brief overview of the saws features. I like vintage Poulan saws but you just don't see a lot of them out in the PNW. Out here, McCulloch, Stihl and Husqvarna ruled the world. I'm always on the hunt for a good vintage Poulan saw. The Poulan 3800 Timbermaster is a great saw. Very similar to the 3400 Countervibe. They are 61 cc's, sound great when you open them up, and will do just about anything you ask of them.
