Kristin Chenoweth - How Did We Come To This? (Lippa's "The Wild Party" Demo)

Kristin Chenoweth was a part of the demo cast for Lippa's musical play "The Wild Party". At that time, the lyrics to the song "How Did We Come To This?" were different from the final version that's sung today. Here's Kristin's rendition of this beautiful finale piece. Hope you enjoy it. You're all so sure You're all so wise No limits No boundaries No compromise Laughing at your neighbor Smiling through a hiss How did we come to this? You're all amused You're all inspired So happy So gracious And so admired Would you love your brother Or kill him with a kiss? How did we come to this? Wasn't this supposed to be a party? Weren't we supposed to be friends? Someone changed the rules Made us all look fools But fools should know by now That every party ends You're all afraid You're all alone Too angry Too many And yet you've grown Maybe you're unconscious For ignorance is bliss How did we all come to this? How did we come to this?
