A brand-new Ado song just dropped… so of course we’re here. 💙🔥 Today’s Ado journey starts with Monstruo, and then we’re diving into Himawari and Hibana with both the Studio and Live versions of each. Monstruo Himawari - Studio + Live Hibana - Studio + Live 3 songs. 5 versions. And somewhere in here… Ado made me cry again. Monstruo is a completely fresh first listen, so I’m going into it with no idea where Ado is about to take me. Then we move into Himawari, which brings out a softer, warmer and more emotional side of her voice. Hearing the studio version and then watching that same song open up on stage gave me two different ways into the same feeling. And then Hibana takes us somewhere completely different: intensity, character, explosive vocal energy, and all those little choices that make Ado so fascinating for me to experience as a musician. Somewhere between all of that, the harmonies, textures, characters and extra musical voices started appearing in my head again… which usually means I eventually start singing along too. 😂💙 This Ado journey keeps getting bigger, stranger, more emotional and more fascinating with every video, and I love that so much of it has become something we’re experiencing together as a community. And yes… one of these songs got me.
