Swedish king and queen in Ottawa for third official visit to Canada

Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia arrived in Ottawa to begin a three-day state visit. They were welcomed to Rideau Hall by Chief Justice Richard Wagner, who was standing in for Gov. Gen. Mary Simon as she recovers from illness. They met with Prime Minister Mark Carney and are guests of a state dinner hosted at Rideau Hall.
