Can random inputs beat a Mario game? A bot that presses completely random buttons plays 11 retro Mario games for 90 seconds each: Super Mario Bros., SMB2, SMB3, Super Mario Land 1 + 2, Dr. Mario, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Mario Clash, Super Mario 64 and SMB Deluxe.
Three Game Overs, one giant Banzai Bill (twice) and zero levels cleared. No retries, no edits: every input is a seeded random roll.

All footage is captured from the original games running in an emulator. The controller is driven by a seeded random bot (new random button combination every 3-24 frames, 50% chance per button, never Start/Select; Super Mario 64: random analog stick direction + strength); a script only boots each game to the first playable moment. 'Test runs' = 10 random seeds x 90 seconds per game, deaths counted from the game's memory (approximate). Years are North American release years. Mario and all games are (c) Nintendo.
