Divya and Chuck are a husband-and-wife duo who run their own strategy and content business, and somewhere along the way they stopped following the script everyone handed them. Divya walked away from a law career to work at a tiny ad agency run out of an actual garage. Chuck, an engineer who never knew other options existed, found his calling through a random advertising magazine that landed in his lap. In this conversation, they trace their paths from a bookish latchkey kid in Bombay and a studious boy growing up in Bahrain’s heat to two people who built a business, a marriage, and a child-free life on their own terms. We talk about the millennial checklist, the art of sneaky rebellion, how to work with your spouse without losing your mind, and why strength might be less about the big leap and more about what you can sustain.

Their definitions of strength: staying in the game, and knowing the story you’re telling yourself
A Moment That Will Stay With You
Chuck compares strength to lifting weights. You can chase the heaviest lift once and risk the injury, or find the weight you can lift every single day and build from there. For him, strength isn’t your maximum. It’s the minimum you know you can sustain. It’s a quiet reminder that the people who last aren’t always the ones who sprint.
