Aurora parkrun | Melbourne, Australia

Thinking of visiting Aurora parkrun for the first time? Lisa and I headed to Epping, in Melbourne’s north, Australia, for what turned into a very different kind of parkrun morning. This one is a flat, four-lap course around Aurora Town Centre Park, following permanent concrete paths around the park and alongside Edgars Creek. With plenty of parkruns cancelling due to the weather, Aurora was able to go ahead, giving us a chance to still get our Saturday morning parkrun in. It was also parkrun’s 22nd birthday weekend, Lisa turned up in a panda onesie, and the whole morning became a reminder of why arriving early, adapting, and showing up with the right attitude can make all the difference.
