A double shot of rock and blues, Southbound Revival style! Live at Froggy's at Indian Lake on October 23, 2026, Southbound Revival delivers two classics back to back: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' "Mary Jane's Last Dance" and Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble's "Cold Shot." John Monahan takes the lead vocals on "Mary Jane's Last Dance," with Tim Sutton adding some tasty electric guitar solos. After the song, John improvises a little rhyming banter that somehow leads us right into "Cold Shot." It was one of those spontaneous moments that just worked, so we left the two songs together! Tim takes over the vocals for "Cold Shot," while John steps out for a couple of bluesy solos, the first with a little wah pedal and the second with a different flavor. No rehearsals with Ryan. Just three musicians listening, reacting, and letting the music take over. "Mary Jane's Last Dance" was released in 1993 as part of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Greatest Hits collection, while "Cold Shot" appeared on Stevie Ray Vaughan's 1984 album *Couldn't Stand the Weather*. Two different styles, both rooted in blues-rock. A packed house, a rocking rhythm section, and a little spontaneous humor between songs. We liked how it all came together, so we're sharing the whole
