Return to Africa | Episode 2: North to the Kavango

Windhoek in the rear view mirror, and a long day's drive north into the Namibian bush. Episode 2 of Return to Africa covers the road out of Windhoek up to Grootfontein for our first night under the stars at Fiume Bush Camp, then on to the Kavango River — and the first water of the trip. We finish the day on a sunset cruise on the Kavango, which is where the birds, crocodiles and hippos, start to make themselves known. There's a nice thread here: this same river flows on into Botswana and fans out into the Okavango Delta, which we reach a few episodes from now.
