BASTAR EXPEDITION — EPISODE 4 Somewhere beyond the last familiar road, Bastar begins to reveal a completely different side of itself. In this episode of Bastar Expedition, we leave the more familiar roads behind and head deep into the forests towards one of Bastar's lesser-known natural wonders — Handawada Waterfall. Our journey takes us through: Bastar → Gidam → Chhindnar → Indravati River → Handawada The road itself becomes a major part of the adventure. From Gidam, we continue towards Chhindnar, where the landscape begins to change. The roads become quieter, the forests become denser, and the mighty Indravati River becomes our companion along the way. Then comes the real adventure. We leave the familiar routes behind and head towards Handawada, a remote waterfall in the Orchha/Abujhmad region of Narayanpur district. The district administration describes Handavada as a natural waterfall dropping more than 150 feet, followed by water flowing over rocks and forming natural pools/springs. It also notes the area's lush greenery and remote character. But numbers don't really explain Handawada. You have to see it. Surrounded by dense forest, the waterfall has a presence that makes you stop and simply watch. And that's what this journey is really about. Not just reaching a destination.
