Hello all! today we have SNB449 YPL 449T Preserved London Country Leyland National MK1 on route 176 to Biggleswade this was the morning feeder bus. it was supposed to be a Bristol VR but they changed it at the last minute. why? I don't know. am I complaining? definitely not. this thing was gorgeous. I have a soft spot for Leyland nationals. some of my favourite buses of the "older" generation. this one was superb. sounded lovely and it was quite fast! History: it was new to London country in 1979. Then transferred to Luton and district in 1990. Then transferred to Theobald's in Dunstable in late 1997. Then got transferred to a preservationist in 2001. Underwent a big restoration and got restored in 2009. Then got transferred to the United bus Counties preservation group in 2026 on a loan. Then went back to the original preservationist after this event. apologies about background noise. enjoy! filmed from Bedford bus station to the outskirts of biggleswade with some cutouts in-between
