Sloan & Steve Barri Personnel: The Jesters (Jim, Scott, Nobe, Mike, Curt) Album Background & Liner Notes: A legendary holy grail artifact of 1960s Kansas teenage garage rock history. Recorded using basic mic placement inside the custom Audio House facility, the record preserves a spectacular time-capsule of regional teenage pop-culture slang and raw musical enthusiasm. Track Notes: Track 6 features a standout version of the tongue-in-cheek garage novelty "That's Cool, That's Trash" (originally penned by the legendary team of Sloan & Barri for The Kingsmen). The band leans heavily into the humor and snotty delivery of the lyrics, utilizing a punchy call-and-response vocal format over a snappy, upbeat rock-and-roll progression.
