STAM Ghent City Museum Tour (Stadsmuseum Gent) - Gent, Flanders, Belgium

STAM is the Ghent city museum in the Belgian city of Ghent. It presents the story of the medieval city of Ghent. It leads visitors along a chronological trail of objects and multimedia which trace the development and growth of Ghent. Temporary exhibitions explore the concept of 'urbanity' from different angles. The history of this museum goes back to 1833, the year in which the Oudheidkundig Museum van de Bijloke in Ghent was founded. STAM's real showpiece, its reason for being, is the city itself.
