Every night, the same upstairs window is glowing. Every night, the same woman is standing behind it. There’s only one problem: Nobody has lived in that house for years. 🖤 “No One Lives There” takes Mika into another corner of the DON’T ANSWER world — where the supernatural doesn’t announce itself with monsters, screaming or spectacular apparitions. Sometimes it simply stands behind a window and waits for you to notice. And once you notice it, perhaps it notices you too. 👻 🎵 The song continues Mika’s dark signature sound of Ethereal Darkwave, Gothic Darkwave, Dark Folk and Dark Ambient, with the Electric Harp remaining a defining presence throughout this mysterious musical world. The atmosphere is darker this time: spectral, hypnotic and deliberately uneasy, while Mika’s ethereal soprano moves between intimate storytelling and larger haunting melodic passages. DON’T ANSWER is becoming a collection of supernatural mysteries where the explanation is often less important than the question left behind. Who was the woman? Why did she appear every night?
