Roaming Free: Life as a Wild Horse of Utah's Onaqui Mountains

Looking back to a time watching the Onaqui wild horses on June 1st, 2024. It was the first time I watched a foal as it was Clacking. Watching the mare push and kick it to teach it when it is time to move for survival. When I first saw the kick to the face I felt bad, but then I think of me as a kid and realize why :) All clips were originally shot in slow motion 4K 120fps. And shooting this way on my sony in S&Q mode means no sounds. The sounds this day would have just been wind, so I added some hopefully mellow music to go with the scenes. I would rather capture all natural sounds, but they are very quiet most of the time.
