Follow the official BDA checklist. Step 4 — Create your online application/login Go to ONLINE APPLICATION on the BDA portal. You will generally need to enter your: Name Mobile number Email Aadhaar/other identification details Address Applicant/category information Make sure your name and other details match your supporting documents. Step 5 — Select the site category/size The application should show the site categories available for general-public allotment. Historically, BDA has discussed sizes such as: 20 × 30 30 × 40 40 × 60 Larger sites Step 6 — Pay the application/initial deposit This is a very important part. The 2026 BDA process is based on the BDA (Allotment of Sites) Rules, 1984. BDA told the High Court that applicants would be given two months to apply along with an initial deposit of 12.5% of the site value. So, for example, if a site were ₹60 lakh: 12.5% = ₹7.5 lakh But don't use this as your actual payment amount until the current BDA notification shows the final site price and deposit calculation. Step 7 — Submit the application After checking everything: Review → Submit Application → Make required payment → Save acknowledgement/application number. Take screenshots/PDF of: Application number Payment receipt Submitted application Transaction ID Date and time Keep these safely. Step 8 — Wait for BDA's allotment process Note: Applying does NOT mean you immediately become the site owner.
