✦ Dementia (Remastered) - Part I of Psychological Journey

Before anxiety, before depression, before dissociation was dementia. This was my attempt to imagine what dementia might sound like from the inside. The slow unraveling of memory, recognition and time. It begins with warmth: a familiar piano, the comfort of old memories, the feeling that everything is still where it should be. Then something changes. The melodies begin repeating incorrectly. Time loses its shape. Familiar sounds become distorted. Fragments return, but never quite the same way. Moments of clarity appear briefly before dissolving again into confusion, static and silence. This is not a clinical representation of dementia, but a psychological interpretation of what I imagined memory decay might feel like - nostalgic, intimate, disorienting and deeply unsettling.
