In Guthrie, Texas, one small store sells groceries and souvenirs to visitors from as far away as Australia. It is the front door of the Four Sixes, the 6666 Ranch. This film crosses the ranch stop by stop: the Supply House, the 1917 stone Big House, the horse division tied to the founding of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Black Angus herd still worked on horseback, and the land itself, measured against real cities. The home division alone, about 142,000 acres, is roughly the land area of Chicago. With its two Panhandle divisions, the ranch covers about 266,000 acres by the broker's figure (other sources give different totals). Along the way: how Samuel Burk Burnett built the ranch from a herd bought around 1870, how his will kept it whole for almost a century, why Anne Marion's will put it on the market in 2020, and how a group reportedly led by Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan bought it in a sale that closed in January 2022. The final price was never disclosed; most figures online are asking prices. We also look at what Sheridan has done with it: the Yellowstone tie-in, the beef and the brand, and why he says the planned 6666 series will never be made. TRANSPARENCY: Built from documentary research (Handbook of Texas, news and trade reporting, the sale listing, published interviews). Judgments are framed as judgments, and figures that differ between sources are given as ranges. SOURCES AND REFERENCES Handbook of Texas Online (TSHA): "Four Sixes Ranch" (H.
