Today we're taking a look at the Avro York - a transport aircraft developed during WW2 from the mighty Avro Lancaster heavy bomber. It served in both military and civil roles, seeing service across the glode, and earning particular fame for its involvement in the Berlin Airlift - ironic as its progenitor had been involved in military operations against said city just a few years earlier!
