Spider-Man: Brand New Day Is Really Good... But

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is finally here, and while I thought it was really good, I definitely have some issues with it. In this review, I talk about why this might be the most emotionally interesting version of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker we’ve seen in the MCU, the darker direction for Spider-Man, the Insomniac-inspired fight choreography, Peter’s changing powers, and why the movie’s runtime and pacing started to wear me down. I also get into the movie’s crowded villain setup, Jean Grey, Damage Control, Scorpion, Punisher, Hulk, the new Black Widow, and how Brand New Day handles the fallout from No Way Home for Peter, Ned, and MJ.
