Safe in the Arms of Jesus | Traditional Gospel Blues | GOSPEL BLUES

When tired eyes close during prayer, “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” is traditional gospel blues for the shame you cannot carry alone. “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” is an original soulful gospel blues prayer about trusting Jesus with the words that weariness interrupts. If you've ever fallen asleep over an open Bible and awakened ashamed, this prayer understands. If you've been afraid that fatigue makes your love for Jesus look small, you are not alone. This song is for anyone who grows too tired to finish praying and needs to trust that Jesus still holds every unfinished word. Rooted in old school gospel and black gospel music, this Christian blues music setting keeps the gospel blues worship intimate, frail and unforced. Sound: • Very raspy elderly male baritone singing behind the beat • Expressive archtop blues guitar answering each vocal line • Old church piano, soft Hammond organ, upright bass and brushed drums • Male and female call-and-response singers building through the final vamp THEME: Weariness • Prayer • Mercy • Rest MESSAGE: “Jesus, hold my prayer when words are through.” If this is you, comment: “HOLD MY PRAYER 🙏” Like • Share • Subscribe.
