LIVE: Court orders Former House Speaker Martin Romualdez transferred to QC jail | Sept 14

The Sandiganbayan on Monday ordered former House Speaker Martin Romualdez’s transfer to the Quezon City Jail in Payatas after doctors testified he no longer needs to be in the hospital. Once transferred to the jail, Romualdez will undergo the standard commitment and booking procedures, similar to other persons deprived of liberty (PDLs). He will undergo an interview, confiscation of unauthorized items, mugshot-taking, medical history checking, and cell assignment, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said.
