GILGAMESH: JUDGMENT OF GODS is a cinematic animated short film inspired by the Epic of Gilgamesh, the oldest surviving epic story in human history. In this mythological reimagining, the legendary King of Uruk defies the gods—and must face their judgment. Blending ancient Mesopotamian mythology, Assyrian and Babylonian-inspired imagery, epic fantasy, science fiction, and cinematic animation, the film brings one of humanity’s earliest stories to life for a new generation. If Hollywood won’t make the Gilgamesh movie, independent creators will. Written, directed, and produced by Zack Samo. Generative AI tools were used as part of the visual animation process under the filmmaker’s creative direction. The story adaptation, artistic vision, shot selection, editing, and final assembly were shaped and supervised by the filmmaker.
