“🌧️ Binondo Chinatown Wasn't Supposed to End Like This! 🇵🇭” I went back to *Binondo Chinatown, Manila* to explore the places and experiences I missed on my first visit — and this time, the adventure turned into something completely unexpected! 🇵🇭 I started my day by revisiting **Binondo Church**, taking a look inside this beautiful historic church and sharing a little of its fascinating history. I also had the opportunity to give something to eat and drink to a middle-aged couple and an elderly lady who were sitting on the sidewalk near the church. Sometimes, the most meaningful moments of a day happen when you least expect them. From there, I walked through *Carvajal Street**, one of Binondo's interesting little streets, before heading to **Lucky Chinatown Mall**. I explored the mall, checked out what was there, and even took a ride on a **mechanical dinosaur!* 🦖 But then the weather decided to change the plans. When we entered the mall, it wasn't raining. By the time we were ready to leave, it was *pouring!* 🌧️ We stopped for something to eat while waiting for the rain to ease up. It never completely stopped, but eventually slowed down enough for us to continue. We jumped into a *tuktuk* and crossed **Jones Bridge**, making our way toward the **Pasig River Esplanade**. The original plan was to continue on to **Fort Santiago**, but with the rain still coming down, we decided it wasn't the right day for that. Then things got even more interesting. I tried to book a Grab, but the price had suddenly jumped to *over ₱800**, compared with the **₱300* I had paid to get to Chinatown earlier. Rather than pay the surge price, we decided to turn the situation into another adventure. So, in the pouring rain, we hopped into *another tuktuk* and made our way from the Esplanade to the **Chinatown train station**. A Grab would certainly have been easier and more convenient, but sometimes taking the less convenient option makes for a much better story!
