Thousands of Tunisians took to the streets last week to protest against the high cost of living and restrictions on political freedoms. The protests marked one of the largest against President Kais Saied in years. They brought together civil society organisations, trade unions and opposition parties, despite their long-standing divisions. Many Tunisians say Saied, who initially came to power promising greater political representation, has since concentrated power in his own hands. So, will protests subside, or will Tunisians continue their demands for change?
