The Funniest Movie Of The Year- Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie Review

Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie (2025) might be the best movie of the year…and almost nobody is talking about it. I got to see Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie at the Toronto International Film Festival during a packed Midnight Madness screening, and it was one of the best theater experiences I’ve ever had. But I needed to know—was that just the energy of the crowd, or is this movie actually that good? So I watched it again in a nearly empty theater… and I still had an incredible time. In this Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie review, I break down why this is one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in years, why it works even if you’ve NEVER seen the show, and why more people need to give this movie a chance. One of the biggest hurdles this movie is facing is that people don’t really know what it is. Some think it’s about a real band, others think you need to watch the show first—but you don’t. This movie completely stands on its own, and if you like comedy, you can walk into this blind and have a great time. From the creators behind The Dirties and BlackBerry, this feels like a chaotic, hilarious, and surprisingly well-crafted comedy that blends absurd humor, clever filmmaking, and some genuinely impressive visual effects. There are moments in this movie that had me laughing harder than anything I’ve seen in theaters in YEARS. I also talk about how the movie pulls inspiration from things like Back to the Future, why the editing and visual effects deserve way more credit, and why this feels like the kind of comedy that’s been missing from theaters for a long time. At the end of the day, this is one of those movies I just want to keep showing to people who haven’t seen it yet. If you’re looking for something different, something funny, and something that actually feels creative—this is absolutely worth your time. 👇 Let me know in the comments: Have you heard of Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie yet?
