4.5-Hour Grocery Run Condensed into 38 Minutes | Testing TimeWarp on Shadow Rolling out early on Shadow before incoming rain sets in to pick up groceries (eggs, milk, and a sweet treat or two). Today’s ride serves two main purposes: putting in disciplined base endurance miles averaging around 100–105 watts, and experimenting with a new camera setup using TimeWarp. By speeding through repetitive open roads and punching back in to regular speed to talk, the goal is to cut down massive 40-mile video files and speed up Starlink upload times without losing the feel of the journey. Along the way, we deal with Brooks saddle adjustments, roadside battery swaps, a close-call camera mounting faux pas, grabbing groceries at Walmart, and pushing back home against a 10–15 mph desert headwind. Let me know in the comments: What do you think of this TimeWarp pacing versus the full real-time rides? 🚲 Ride Highlights: Rolling out on Shadow with an eggs-and-milk mission before the rain TimeWarp camera test: speeding up long stretches to beat slow upload speeds Power discipline: holding steady at 100–105W rather than chasing speed Saddle adjustments, hip alignment, and Brooks leather comfort Grocery stop at Walmart (plus a well-deserved donut break!)
