Pruning Oregon's Largest Honey Locust Tree

Braun Arboricultural Consulting shortening Oregon's largest Honey Locust Tree, due to tree failure through heart rot decay. www.braunarborcare.com After a large branch threatened a group of picnic-ers, it was time for some risk management of this 160 year old diseased tree. Dave Braun brought in a skilled tree climber, Adam Allsup, to do the cutting, and a crane to bring down branches of up to 5000 pounds. The tree survives to re-sprout and continue it's life in Hood River, Or (it has been there since the founding of the town).
