Dra. Aguilar, Medical Director at Hospital Infantil de las Californias, shares her gratitude to the Rotary Club of Chula Vista Eastlake for helping collect stuffed animals in partnership with the Foundation for the Children of the Californias. The donated toys help bring comfort and joy to young patients while complementing the medical care and family support made possible through the Foundation. That support also includes community health “jornadas,” or special clinic days, that expand access to needed services. One recent jornada featured free dermatology consultations for children and families, made possible with support from Rotarians and Exalt Clinical Research of Chula Vista. We are grateful for the volunteers, medical professionals, partners, and donors who continue working together to improve the health and well-being of children on both sides of the border.
