This episode also examines Britain’s promises to Arab leaders, the secret Sykes–Picot Agreement between Britain and France, and the political betrayal that reshaped the Arab world after World War I. We discuss the role of Al Saud, Sharif Hussein, Britain, Wahhabi scholars, the Zionist movement, and other regional powers, while separating documented history from popular political claims and conspiracy narratives. After the fall of Ottoman power, Abdulaziz Ibn Saud expanded his influence and later established Saudi Arabia in 1932. Britain gained major influence over Iraq, Palestine, Transjordan, the Gulf, and strategic routes across the Middle East. The Balfour Declaration of 1917 and the British Mandate in Palestine also created new conditions that helped the Zionist movement and eventually contributed to the establishment of Israel in 1948. On 3 March 1924, the Ottoman Caliphate was formally abolished under Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. But the question remains: was the Caliphate ended by Britain, Arab revolt, Al Saud, internal weakness, or all of these forces together?
