Nintendo DSi XL Touch Screen Replacement/Repair

I scored a working Super Mario Bros 25th Anniversary DSi XL with some nail polish on it and a badly scratched bottom touch screen. I attempt to replace it with a brand new one from eBay. Part teardown, part repair. I call it a repairdown!
