For a long time, I would drop a song into my timeline and let the music dictate the emotion and overall flow of my film. But once I started working with tonal sound effects, I realized I could actually take control of the emotion myself. In this video, I’m reverse-engineering a cinematic remix I originally made and showing you exactly how I built it. From isolating the vocals to layering cello, reverse piano, chord progressions, reverb, and tonal transitions - you’ll see it all broken down. The goal isn't to completely rewrite the song.
